MN ETM: Partners for Youth

(Also Known as MNWAY: Minnesota Workforce Access for Youth)

Rural Minnesota CEP (RMCEP) is the recipient of a multi‑year demonstration grant from DEED called MN ETM – Partners for Youth, also known as MNWAY (Minnesota Workforce Access for Youth). This initiative focuses on supporting youth with disabilities across RMCEP’s 19‑county rural service area.

Purpose of the Grant

MNWAY is designed to reduce and eliminate disparities in employment and education outcomes for young people with disabilities, ages 14–24. Special emphasis is placed on transition‑age youth (18+) moving into adulthood. Supports offered through MNWAY include:

  • Career exploration and planning
  • Credential and skills development
  • Work-based learning opportunities
  • Paid work experiences
  • Pathways to competitive, integrated employment
  • These services help youth build confidence, develop essential skills, and move toward long-term success in the workforce.
