Growing Careers
Rural MN CEP is excited to launch AgPaths, a program designed to build career pathways in the agriculture and animal sectors of our region. This program is funded through a Growing Careers Grant from the Minnesota Department of Economic Development (DEED).
Stacy Belen is the Program Navigator, assisting all eight offices in implementing the program. Â The grant can be used to provide career exploration, occupational training, work-based learning, wraparound supports, and assistance in earning credentials and securing employment in the agriculture sector. Career paths related to this program can involve crop production, animal production, and agriculture support services.
The AgPaths initiative focuses on individuals who are underrepresented in agriculture or face challenges entering the workforce. It prepares them for quality jobs that offer family-sustaining wages and career growth opportunities.
By aligning with employers’ needs, AgPaths strengthens both the regional workforce and the vitality of rural communities throughout Northwest Minnesota. Both residents and businesses stand to benefit from this program.
