Free Training OSHA

Rural Minnesota CEP, Inc. has partnered with Northwest Wisconsin CEP, Inc.  to provide FREE safety training, education, and assistance for rural workers and employers in wood product and other manufacturing industries such as food production and packaging, agriculture, textiles, metal processing, tire and rubber manufacturing plants and paper products in regard to Combustible Dust Safety and Health.  This training can be provided on-site!

Every year, workplace fires and explosions from combustible dust cause an average of 7 fatalities and 35 injuries. This combustible dust explosion hazard exists in a variety of industries, including wood, furniture, textiles, and fossil fuel power generation and many others.  Let’s partner together to save lives!

This training is provided through a grant received by Northwest Wisconsin CEP through the U.S. Department of Labor OSHA Susan Harwood Training Grant program.  The Susan Harwood Training focuses on the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplaces that are so important to our local economies. Target audiences for Susan Harwood grants include small business employers and workers in high-hazard industries.
