Get to know Rural Minnesota CEP’s Career Advisors!

16 Sep 2025

The Rural Minnesota Concentrated Employment Program (CEP) has eight locations across Northwest Minnesota. This allows local career advisors to immerse themselves in the community and really get to know the students and young adults who live there.

Supporting job seekers in the region is a team effort, but you might encounter some familiar faces if you seek out Rural Minnesota CEP’s youth services. We wanted to introduce you to some of the team members who are passionate about their jobs.

Get to know Rural Minnesota CEP’s career advisors and see who you might meet with as you plan your bright future.

Haley Whittaker supports Brainerd High School and Pequot Lakes High School and has worked with Rural Minnesota CEP for one year. Before she moved to Minnesota, Whittaker was a high school English teacher who focused on helping seniors with career exploration, research, resume and professional writing, and interview skills.

“It's rewarding to help them set goals and see them grow as they work to achieve them,”  says Whittaker. She is inspired by her nieces and loves watching them grow into thoughtful, determined, amazing young women.

Whittaker's favorite career advice tip is to learn to communicate well and often. This includes listening thoughtfully to others.

Moe tells students that their career is a long-term game, so they shouldn't rush their choices. She enjoys working with students one-on-one and advising them in group settings.
