National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

7 Nov 2016

The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is a comprehensive system that helps individuals gain the skill businesses need through a national credential platform. This credential offers a standardized approach to recognizing the value of these skills to job success. Employers need reliable methods of measuring skillsets to hire qualified people, job seekers need to provide an understanding of their skillset, and educators need to see which skills employers require and which skills job seekers lack in today’s working environment.

The NCRC looks at three essential skills (1) reading for information, (2) applied mathematics, and (3) locating information. The three certificate levels are as follows: Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
