Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience. Ability to collect, interpret, analyze, and report data; conduct research using appropriate research methodologies. Must work effectively in team-structured environment. Ability to establish and maintain productive, positive relationships with a wide spectrum of people and groups including agency administration, employees, and external organizations. English language proficient. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form. Computer skills to include Excel, word processing, email, and accessing information on the internet. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Excel and AS400 experience a plus. Previous experience in public or non-profit fund accounting is highly valued. Persons who are Veterans or possess the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) will be given additional consideration.


Primary Position Objectives:

Under supervision of the Director of Finance, this position exists to perform a variety of accounting functions for Rural Minnesota CEP, Inc. This includes following policies and procedures to complete financial transactions, record keeping, and assisting with the audit process.

Essential Functions:

Provides financial information to the Director of Finance or management by researching and analyzing accounting data. Manage the Purchase Order system for the agency. Responsible for the financial invoices and reports for the agency. Perform and compile financial reconciliation information for external monitoring requirements, as determined by funding sources. Review and prepare team overhead invoices for disbursement. Assist in the annual agency financial and compliance audit process. Maintain the Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual. Provide management of identified Accounting Department functions.
